Run throught he cold of the night
Despite the fact tht she was barely holding on to life
on this plane, Eiko still stayed with her.
As passion burns in your heart
From the Astral Plane, she could hear his pleas
for her life to return. Aashi knew his true feelings
now, but still couldn't quite accept them.
Ready to fight, a knife held close by your side
He had been pleading witht hte Heavens for
over an hour now, ready to do whatever it took to
bring his love back. Even fight his very way to
her soul.
Like a proud wolf alone in the dark
Knowing Eiko's feelings now, Aashi could no
longer stand it.
"Elders! I demand your prescence
immeadiately!"
With eyes that watch the world
"Aashi Uriana...The Fallen who hath disgraced
us so bad in the past.. Why do you demand we hear you
out?" The voice who answered was deep, and of the male
gender, it was Kahlack, the highest of the Elders.
And my name like a shadow
As you can see, Elder, I have destroyed Auroura,
and by doing so, I can never take back my life as a
Sentry." She paused a moment, glancing to teh small orb
she had conjured.
On the face of the moon
"Why have you given up hopes of redemption?" The
Fallen's body flinched at the anger felt in Kahlack's
voice. "What reason could you possibly have?"
Broken mirror, a million shades of light
"Friendship... and something much more valuble,
Elder, Love.." A wear smile worked its way on her raven
black lips as her eyes shifted back to the misty figure
of her superior.
The old echo fades away
"You destroyed a great power for something so
foolish and fickle as love and Human emotions, Aashi?"
He sighed. "How is this person worthy of having your
life?"
But just you and I
"I will show you. Tap into my memories, and
if they are not enough, then I will show you much more,
that is happening as we speak." With that, the eyes of
the former Sentry closed.
Can find the answer
Doing as requested, the Elder tapped into
Aashi's memories only to be astounded by what he
saw. All the hard times they had been through,
all the fights, and the times of closeness and
comfort that happened so often. Would it be enough?
And then, we can run to the end of the world
Opening her eyes slowly, Aashi's gaze
returned to the man that was to pass judgement
upon her.
"Is it enough.. or do you need
more?" She motioned to teh orb with her
left hand. "This will show you Eiko, and what
he is doing at this exact moment."
We can run to the end of the world
"Yes Fallen. Show me what this man of
honor is doing now..." Kahlack looked at her,
obviously deep in thought.
Cold fire clenched to my heart
She brought the orb towards his figure.
"Here is what you wish to see. I pray that it will
give you the desired information." With that Aashi
stepped back and waited.
In the blue of night
Eiko sat next to the spot where he had placed
the barely living body of his love. There, with his
hands clasped over hers, he prayed. He prayed that
she would return to him safe and alive. Though the
gentle warrior was one of near apathy, this time, he
cried, cried for the only love he had known, and might
lose.
Torn by this pain, I paint your name in sound
"I see... This man, Eiko, is he the one in which you
speak of so highly?" The misty figure solidified before the
Fallen, along with the bodies of the remaining 6 Elders, both
male and female.
And the girl of the dawn with eyes of blue, and angel wings
Her eyes were fixed on the orb as the vision of
Eiko dimmed.
"H..hai. He is the one. I will sacrifice
my hopes of immortality for mortality and humiliation, but
mostly, for love. I can live with all the other things...
Except him." A searing pain entered Aashi's heart for fear
of her judgement.
The songs of the season are her only crown
One of the female Elders stepped forward.
"We have seen your memories, and know of you life. We shall return shortly with your judgement." The 7 Elder Guardians faded and Aashi was alone.
Broken mirror, a million shades of light
"Eiko-sama.. please forgive me. I do not
know what will come of this, but I pray that I
am with you in the end." So she waited, an hour
and a half by Earth time, but only ten minutes on
the Astral Plane. After the ammount of time had
passed, the Elder Guardians emerged.
The old echo fades away
"Aashi Uriana, your fate has been sealed." The
same female stepped forth, right before the Fallen. She
placed her hand upon her forehead then mumbled something
in another language. Kahlack then stepped forward, a
staff in hand.
"This is now yours. Its purpose is
the same as Auroura's... But you will find the
differences when you enter the Physical Plane and
your body. Your sacrifice we found to be most very
noble, and you have learned your lesson." He
presented the staff to her.
But just you and I
"Demo.. What about..?"
"That is no longer
an issue." Aashi frowned slightly at Kahlack's
interruption, but paused to let him speak.
Can find the answer
Return to your body now Aashi, if you stay
your soul will be trapped here forever." He then
turned away, fading out of sight. The remaining
Elders all followed Kahlack, but not before giving
their own blessings to Aashi.
And then, we can run to the end of the world
"H..Hai..." She watched them all leave,
the new staff clutched tightly in her hands.
We can run to the end of the world
She was alone now. "I have to go back... But with
so many questions left unanswered... I am more lost than I
was before.." Her voice trailed off.
We met in mist of morning
Sighing, she walked back to the spot where
she had first apeared in the Astral Plane. The portal
opened, awaiting the astral body of the former sentry.
And parted deep in the night
"Eiko-san... I will be back with you very soon..
If I assumed correctly.."Sighing, Aashi lether body enter
the portal, sending her spirit to her body once more.
Broken sword and shield, and tears that never fall
Once back in her body, Aashi could feel something
changing within her, something... new. She couldn't move,
not just yet. The timing would be too soon, and could be
potentially dangerous to her.
But run through the heart
As the Fallen awaited her time of new awakening,
she could not forget what the Elders had said to her. Her
fate was sealed, but what fate could that possibly be? Aashi
would soon find out.
Washed away by the darkest water
Her body rose from the bed of rocks, just barely above
Eiko's reach. Slowly, she turned to an upright position, her
arms crossing over her chest.
The world is peaceful and still
"Aashi..." Eiko watched, astonished and in awe at what
was happening before him. Was his love going to return?
Broken mirror, a million shades of light
In a sharp burst, wings that were once the darkest of
black outstretched, changening to the purest of white. Her
entire body became surrounded by swirling waves of energy.
The old echo fades away
The robes that adorned her pale frame vanished, becomming
ones of flowing sheer and white silk, Auroura's staff changing,
becoming more ornamental, with a new, crimson red crystal atop
it.
But just you and I
The hair that once changed color only with great energy
changed as well, from auburn, to a firey orange. Aashi's hands
now lowered by her sides, the new staff coming to rest in
them.
Can find the answer
"Is this what the Elder meant..? I have been redeemed?
I do not understand.. I should be mortalized.. not.." Slowly,
her eyes opened. They too had changed, but various shades of
blue, to purples and violets, the same dark to light
contrast as before.
And then, we can run to the end of the world
"Eiko..." her mind whispered, though she could not
bring herself to move. The final change was at hand now. Her
lips, once stained black so even if her appearence changed,
she would still be seen as a fallen, now turned a lighter
shade of crimson, showing the true beauty of an angel.
We can run to the end of the world
Now was her time. Now, she was able to move about freely. Without effort, Aashi descended to the ground, landing gracefully in front of Eiko. A small smile graced her newly shaded lips.
Run to the end of the world
"Eiko-sama..." No longer a fallen, the Angel kept her
place, though tears streamed down her cheeks. "I have been
redeemed..." There she stood, noble and proud, yet there was
much sadness in her eyes. A true Angel, forevermore.
